Yes, the toys are safe. We use different types of hardwoods, water based non-toxic paints and sealers from sustainable agricultural resources, all locally made in the U.S. Our toys comply with the safety requirements of the Consumer Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (ASTMF963). Toys can be gently wiped with a damp cotton cloth using only water, not cleaning agents. Refrain from vigorously scrubbing. After washing, let them dry completely.

Avoid storing toys near heaters, air humidifiers, or in direct sunlight. Wood is sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity and paint will fade with extended exposure to direct sun.

For maintenance, apply beeswax to a cotton cloth and wipe all the surfaces vigorously. After applying, let the toys dry completely.

Our wood comes from well-managed forests in North America, about 95% of this comes from the United States. We mainly use hardwoods such as maple, walnut and beech. Hardwoods are longer-lasting, denser, and are less likely to splinter, dent, or give in to wear and tear. Due to their excellent properties, hardwood toys can be passed down from generation to generation if looked after adequately.

Lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects. Products may vary slightly in how they look in photographs because they are handmade and each toy is unique.

Growing Up Toys uses wood as a raw material. Our natural, non-toxic finishes are made from sustainable resources locally produced in America. Our design and production process is slow, yet meticulous, which means our products are carefully handmade in small batches and ethically designed into unique pieces.

We use non-toxic milk-based paint. It is made of all natural ingredients, and is very safe.

Our products are packaged in recyclable cardboard and paper boxes. The mailers and labels are made from recyclable and compostable materials and are easily removed for recycling.
